RARE EARLY FRETTED CIRCA 1760

Very rare early fretted counter made circa 1750 - 60, crest of JONES - see Cowan pages 78 - 79. Double-sided counter with the crest repeated on both sides. Very few sets of counters were made with this incredibly fine fretting at this date. It must have been exceptionally wasteful to produce and therefore expensive to buy.
