DUNDAS 1ST VISCOUNT MELVILLE

Superb counter made circa 1810 for Henry Dundas 1st. Viscount Melville. Large size. Crest, coronet of a Viscount and motto with a superb full scene to the reverse. Dundas had two sets made at around the same time - as happened on occasions for the very rich - one for his main residence and this one for a secondary home with less armorial detail. Please note the large size.
