QUEEN CHARLOTTE WIFE OF GEORGE III

The ultimate counter.  Made circa 1785 for Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III. Comes with full heraldic details and certificate. It shows the arms of the United Kingdom with the impaled arms of Mecklenberg-Strelitz. The reverse shows the Royal crown with monogram CR ( Charlotte Regina). There are entries in the diaries of ladies-in-waiting at court recording how the Queen played with these very counters and incurred the wreath of her husband King George because of the money she lost!
