The Godfreys are to my mind among the most important sets of counters made. Peter Godfrey was an M.P. in Kent and these were made for him - with the order being transmitted to Canton by his namesake and cousin. These are some of the earliest sets made around 1720. And this fish with the Godfrey crest is truly special.
