Top quality deep-carved for GROOM (4)

Another superb, top quality deep-carved counter made for Groom with relief-carved crest of an armoured artm embowed grasping a gauntlet. Very unusually, the crest itself is relief-carved. There are six characters to the front and at least nine to the superb full scene to the reverse. this counter was from a very special order in Canton. The thickness of the m-o-p itself is very rare and it has to be of top quality to accept all this detail. And  horse as well!
