A superb quality large size counter with all the armorial detail you could hope for: arms, impalement, motto, helm, monogram and crest! But the heraldry does not appear to be recorded. Could it have been made for a secret society?  It shows the Templar cross. The Knights Templar?? A beautiful piece of history - with its own mystery.
